Apprenticeship Programs
Apprenticeship programs combine on-the-job (OTJ) training with classroom instruction allowing individuals to become skilled in a particular trade. Trade professionals provide paid OTJ work in various fields of study. Community and technical colleges provide the classroom component. Salary is based on apprenticeship pay; when all work hours and course work is completed, students earn journeyman status in the chosen trade.
